Before joining MCR-ARC in January 2014, Dr. Ben Ramadan worked as a general practitioner in a community health center in Tripoli, Libya for three years and as a faculty member and researcher in the Department of Family and Community Medicine within the School of Medicine at Tripoli University for five years. She is currently a PhD candidate in the MU Informatics Institute, with a major in health informatics, and is doing research at MCR-ARC under the supervision of the MCR-ARC Director, assisted by the Operations Manager and the Senior Statistician. Awatef's previous education includes a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and General Surgery from Tripoli University and she completed the first part of a PhD under Libyan Community Medicine before receiving a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Missouri in 2011. She has published two papers in Arabic periodicals.
